Cake Doughnuts Donuts
Super easy

A healthier version to the deep-fried doughnut.  And still just as delicious.

Ingredients

For 12 Serving(s)

Doughnut Base

2 cups Frankie's Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour blend
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp Kosher salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 LG eggs, lightly beaten
2 tbsp butter, melted

Cake Doughnuts Donuts Directions

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add buttermilk, eggs and butter. Beat well. Fill each doughnut cavity approximately 2/3 full.
Bake in a 425F preheated oven for 7-9 minutes, or until golden brown. When baked let rest for 4-5 minutes and then remove from pan.

Cinnamon sugar:
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp granulated sugar
2-3 tbsp melted buttermilk

Combine cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.
Dip each doughnut into melted butter and then dip into cinnamon sugar mixture. Let rest on plate.

Doughnuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be frozen for later consumption.
