Simple Buttercream Icing

This is a great go-to icing recipe when you need something quick and easy that isn't too sweet and not too complicated to make.

340 g butter, unsalted, room temperature |
208 g corn syrup |
300 g icing/powdered sugar |
1/8 tsp Kosher salt |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
6 tbsp whipping (35%) cream |
Simple Buttercream Icing Directions
In a large mixing bowl beat the butter until light and fluffy.
Then add the corn syrup and beat again to combine.
Add the icing sugar, salt, vanilla, and 1/2 of the cream and beat until light and fluffy.
This recipe makes about 3 cups of icing.
**If you need the icing to be a bit looser add a few more tablespoons of the cream and beat again to get the consistency you're looking for. Be careful not to add too much cream as it might get too runny and then you're see-sawing from too runny to too stiff constantly.
